蘋果最近確認一個嚴重的 bug，如果你安裝《GasBuddy》App 會導致 iPhone 8、iPhone 8 Plus、iPhone X、iPhone XS 和 iPhone XS，會導致 iPhone 變磚。蘋果以內部文件形式通知 Apple Store，有關文件很快在 MacRumors 網站流出，蘋果指受影響的 iPhone 會出現黑色畫面，並出現載入圖示，手機從此「變磚」，無法正常運作。

《GasBuddy》是專門為美國、加拿大和澳洲尋找廉價油站以及為入油付款的油站 App，擁 7000 萬用戶，但並沒有在香港 App Store 上架，相信受影響的香港用戶極少。

《GasBuddy》官方稱即將提供 App 更新解決這個會導致 iPhone 變磚的問題，有關更新已在 5.34.1 版本推出。
We are aware that some people are encountering issues with our iOS app. We’re rapidly preparing an update we believe solves the issue and are making our app temporarily unavailable for download to limit the number of potentially affected users.
