25 年前，由 SONY Computer Entertainment 開發的 PlayStation 遊戲機面世，從開售到停售已出貨 1 億。臨近東京電玩展 2018 (TGS 2018)，PlayStation 官方正式發佈迷你復刻版遊戲機「PlayStation Classic」。
全新「PlayStation Classic」顧名思義是 PlayStation 的縮小版，重量比原本的 PlayStation 輕 80%，體積也縮小 45%。當然「PlayStation Classic」不能放入 PS 遊戲光碟，但卻內建 20 款傳統遊戲，包括《Final Fantasy VII》、《鐵拳 3》、《R4 RIDGE RACER TYPE 4》、《JumpingFlash!》和《Wild Arms》。

「PlayStation Classic」機背支援 HDMI 輸出，支援 micro-USB 接口連接 USB 線供電，隨附 2 個控制器讓兩位朋友進行雙打對戰。
