雖然 Samsung 不是第一家推出可摺螢幕手機的手機廠，但 Samsung 正式發佈自家「摺機」的日子不遠了。

Samsung 最近推出「the future unfolds」的預告片，片中大部分時間都顯示了些韓文諺文字母、「the future unfolds」以及 2019 年 2 月 20 日的美式排序日期，最後卻出現翻轉 90 度的「10」，種種跡象顯示 Samsung 除了在 2 月 20 日發佈 Galaxy S10 之外，還會「摺機」。

Samsung 一直開發可摺螢幕手機，可摺螢幕技術名為「Infinity Flex Display」，並曾在 2018 年 11 月的 Samsung 開發者大會當日展示過「真機」面貌，傳聞指這手機會取名 Galaxy F。
