任天堂宣佈《Mario Kart Tour》第二次多人模式測試即將開始，這次所有玩家都可以參加，不限於「黃金通行證」訂閱戶，任天堂仍未公開公測開始日期，但會在稍後公開更多細節。

在 2019 年 12 月《Mario Kart Tour》已進行第一次多人模式測試，但只限「黃金通行證」訂閱戶參加。「黃金通行證」是《Mario Kart Tour》的月費 VIP 會員制度﹐只需每月 US$4.99 便可解鎖 200cc 模式以及獲得更多車輛、角色和滑翔翼獎勵。
