Google 決定在美西時間 3 月 19 日上午 10:00 在 GDC 2019（Game Developers Conference，遊戲開發者大會）舉行開場發佈會，分享 Google 對未來遊戲的願景。

Google GDC 官網已顯示有關發佈會資訊，有興趣的香港用戶可以在香港時間 3 月 20 日上午 1:00 在 YouTube 收看直播。Google 亦在 YouTube 公開了 37 秒的預告片，以多個遊戲場景，營造一種終於上場的感覺。

Google 進入遊戲市場的傳聞不斷，Google 在 2018 年 10 月推出 Project Stream 的 beta 版，並提供遊戲 Assassin’s Creed Odyssey 進行測試，讓用戶可以在 Chrome 之類的瀏覽器玩遊戲需求極高的遊戲，而運算則交由裝置外的遊戲的服務伺服器負責。

另外，早前 Google 一項遊戲手掣專利曝光，專利文件顯示一隻活像 PS4 和 Xbox 的遊戲手掣出現，市場傳聞 Google 會發佈，挑戰 PlayStation 和 Xbox。

除了 Google 之外，蘋果、微軟也有意在 2020 年加入串流遊戲市場，Google 首先加入，會對現有遊戲市場造成什麼衝擊？
