USB IF：支援 USB 4.0 的產品或要到 2020 年尾出現！

3 月初，USB IF 發佈 USB 4.0 的連接埠標準，但是究竟 USB 4.0 的產品會幾時登場？

目前 USB 4.0 標準已經處於 0.7 版本狀態，大部分規格已經公開，據 USB Promoter Group 指，他們期望支援 USB 4.0 的產品會在 2020 年尾推出，並在品牌標識和宣傳方面進行簡化工作，以期更快普及。

USB 4.0 整合於 Intel 的 Thunderbolt 3 技術，採用雙通道，傳送速度兩倍化至最高 40Gbps，並以 USB-C 連接埠，兼容舊 USB-C 的插頭，也因應 USB-C 的特性支援充電、外置顯示卡等等，目前已有 50 家科技龍頭公司參與標準制定和開發工作。USB IF 指 USB 4.0 的標準會在今年夏天完成，並在 2020 年底提供給要支援的裝置，Intel 會為 USB 4.0 的 Thunderbolt 3 控制晶片的技術提供意見。

至於 Thunderbolt 就是 Intel 發表的接口標準，過去的 Thunderbolt 1、2 接口與 Mini DisplayPort 整合，現在的 Thunderbolt 3 接口是與 USB-C 整合，目前採用 Thunderbolt 3 的 Windows、macOS 和 Linux 裝置接近 1000 萬。
