很快，買便宜路由器又有多一個新的選擇了，小米路由器官微宣佈會在 6 月 9 日上午 10 時發佈紅米首款 Redmi 路由器 AX5。

小米路由器官方微博事前已發佈一連串的圖片進行宣傳，包括「價格從百元到千元我該怎麼選？」「為什麼你的路由器總有小脾氣？」、「為什麼回到卧室 2k 高清秒變馬賽克？」、「坑隊友是日常如何才能不搶網速？」等等，相信 Redmi 路由器 AX5 會以便宜、穩定、穿牆力強以及網速為賣點。

另外小米集團智能硬件部總經理劉新宇在微博之中舉行了投票，問大家對 AX5 有什麼期待，他列出的 5 點投票選項似乎是預示 AX5 賣點，包括
