一個 29 年的結束！微軟宣佈不再為 Visual Basic 推出新功能

一個時代又再結束了，微軟確認不再繼續為擁有 29 年歷史的 Visual Basic 開發新功能。

微軟本星期確認 .NET 5.0 仍然繼續支援 Visual Basic 的 Class Library、Console、Windows Forms、WPF、Worker Service、ASP.NET Core Web API 等等各種功能，以便開發者遷移應用程式到 .NET Core，而且，微軟計劃不再開發 Visual Basic 程式語言的新功能，未來的 Visual Basic 會集中在穩定性、維護現有的功能，以及與 .NET Core 和 .NET Framework 的兼容性。[the_ad_placement id=”ad2″]

換言之微軟即使繼續支援 Visual Basic，但已不會再為這古老的程式語言開發新功能，這代表著 Visual Basic 開始進入淘汰階段。Visual Basic 是微軟在 1991 年推出的程式語言，最後一個穩定版本 6.0 是在 1998 年推出，雖然提供更多工具，但受到更簡易的程式語言 C# 激烈競爭。
