換核心的好處 全新 Edge 瀏覽器也支援 Windows 7

早前，有網站流出採用 Chromium 核心的新版 Edge 安裝程式。由於 Edge 本身只為 Windows 10 而設，所以很多人都認為這只適用於 Windows 10 用家。原來，新版 Edge 也適用於 Windows 7。

外國有人測試過，即使電腦運行 Windows 7 而非 Windows 10，但一樣可以順利安裝並運行，有如是換上了 Edge 外殼的 Chrome，而用家首次執行時，可以從 Chrome 傳送瀏覽及書籤資料，方便日常使用。由於採用 Chromium 核心的 Chrome 早已在 Windows 7 運作順暢，所以新版 Edge 可在 Windows 7 正常運行並不出奇。
