一般來說，Apple ID 被鎖定的原因，大多都是輸入錯誤密碼次數太多，但是最近有網民遇上一些另外的情況。
有網民在 Reddit 和 Twitter 投訴，自己的 Apple ID 因為一些保安原因突然遭到登出和鎖定，需要重新設定密碼，用戶在事前並沒有從 iPhone、Apple TV 和其他裝置收到任何警告，就 Apple ID 卻無故被鎖定了。

如果 Apple ID 因安全問題被鎖，iMessage、iCloud 和 Apple Music 將不能使用，設定 App 的 Apple ID 設定也會出現警告。要解鎖 Apple ID，你需要回答 Apple ID 相關問題以及輸入受信任的手機號碼作認證之用，另外也需要重設密碼。

目前出現大規模鎖 Apple ID 的原因未明，但有網民指可能有一堆黑客嘗試破解 Apple ID 密碼導致，就 Apple ID 被鎖的情況，蘋果已在官方 Twitter 帳號以及官網提供解決方法。
