話說地球氣候變化急速，人類隨時陷入糧食危機，不少人提倡改變飲食習慣，食用昆蟲減少糧食需要，然後，日本無印良品真的推出「 蟋蟀仙貝 」。

這「蟋蟀仙貝」不是真的原隻蟋蟀封裝，而是一堆由蟋蟀製成的米餅。無印「蟋蟀仙貝」由德島大學的研究基礎之下使用常見的昆蟲蟋蟀進行量產，為了變得更易入口，會將蟋蟀磨成粉末狀，然後揉成米餅，再使用簡單配方略略調味製成，保留蟋蟀的原汗原味。[the_ad_placement id=”ad2″][the_ad_placement id=”ad2″]

日本無印良品在官方網頁更分享用上「蟋蟀」製餅的好處，例如飼養容易、成長很快、而且屬於雜食，可以回收廚餘當蟋蟀的飼料，而且飼料成本、水的需求和溫室排放量比一般家畜為低，營養比家畜為高。

「蟋蟀仙貝」 5 月 20 日日本無印良品官方網店出售，未知香港無印良品在哪個時候引入。對食「蟋蟀」有疑慮？官網指「蟋蟀仙貝」味道似蝦一樣，當「蟋蟀仙貝」是蝦餅食就可以了。
