CAPCOM 在 Gamescom 2019 公開《Monster Hunter World: Iceborne》超大型資料片的最新情報，除了傳聞已久的冰呪龍之外，還有更多龍現身。

3 分 50 秒的預告片公開更多本作的的故事背景，一眾冒險家希望踏入這個冰天雪地的新大陸，探索和發現線索，包括不自然的斷層。最終與先前調查團匯合，打倒一條擁有「歌聲」、足以「影響生態系」令其從源頭破壞的「偉大的存在」：冰呪龍。

在本作，冒險家會試圖利用龍杭砲對抗冰呪龍，另外你可能會深入火山和其他地方對抗碎龍、硫斬龍和冰牙龍。

《Monster Hunter World: Iceborne》PS4/Xbox One 版會在 9 月 6 日開售，並鎖定在 2020 年 1 月登除 PC（Steam），支援繁中字幕及日英語音。預約者可獲得限定特典「結雲」系列（外觀裝備）、Digital Deluxe 版可獲防具「銀騎士」系列、動作 3 種、貼圖套裝 2 種、面罩彩繪 1 種、髮型 1 種、家具組合 1 種（可於小屋設置）。從 2019 年 9 月 5 日開始免費提供防具「守護者」系列，鼓勵冒險家朝 Master Rank 邁進。
