微軟宣佈 Edge 瀏覽器將改用 Chromium 核心　將支援 macOS

不久之前微軟被傳聞放棄自家開發的瀏覽器核心，利用 Chromium 核心開發 Edge 瀏覽器，而這個傳聞今日成真。

微軟在官方部落格公佈 Microsoft Edge 改用開源 Chromium 核心的重大消息，Chromium 是 Google Chrome 的瀏覽器核心架構，透過架構轉變，Microsoft Edge 可以對齊其他 Chromium 為基礎瀏覽器的網絡標準，提升兼容程度以及簡化開發者的開發流程。

目前採用 EdgeHTML 核心的 Microsoft Edge 只支援 Windows 10，令使用人數受很大限制，微軟如今改用 Chromium 核心，可令 Microsoft Edge 一口氣支援更多平台，莫說是 Windows 7/8、macOS、iOS、Android、Linux 等不同平台都支援在內。

微軟內置 Chromium 核心的 Microsoft Edge 瀏覽器會在 2019 年初推出「Preview」版測試，但微軟已經容許開發者加入微軟的社群進行封測。
