Google 創辦人 Larry Page、Sergey Brin 退位　Sundar Pichai 接掌 Alphabet

科技界又迎來一個時代的結束，今次輪到 Google。Google 共同創辦人兼母公司 Alphabet 的 CEO Larry Page 和總裁 Sergey Brin 宣佈退位。

Alphabet 表示 CEO 一職由現任 Google CEO Sundar Pichai 接任，總裁一職懸空，不會遞補。Larry Page 和 Sergey Brin 退位之後不會再參與日常營運管理，只留在董事會之中以「特別表決權股」間接掌控 Alphabet。

Larry Page 和 Sergey Brin 創立 Google，從搜尋業務開始壯大，一舉超越當時搜尋市場霸主 Yahoo!，並擴展出 Gmail、Google 地圖、YouTube、DoubleClick、Android、Chrome、Google Cloud Platform 等多元化業務，成為科技界霸主之一。2015 年 Google 重整業務架構，新成立的母公司 Alphabet 吸收原 Google 各種業務包括 Google 本身，成為 Alphabet 的各種子公司。

Google CEO Sundar Pichai 會成為 Alphabet CEO，成為整個 Alphabet 所有業務的最核心人物。
