日本各縣份都有吉祥物，熊本有熊本熊，而岩手縣就迎接全新應援大使小拳石。

岩手縣與 Pokémon Company 簽定連攜協定，任命「小拳石」成為岩手縣的應援大使，支援當地旅行。小拳石是岩石屬性寶可夢，一團岩石左右只有兩隻石手，合乎岩手縣的「岩」和「手」名字。
