iPhone 空間拍滿了？一個設定就能有 Google Photos 原圖無限儲存空間

Pixel 手機的其中一個賣點，就是 Google Photos 提供給 Pixel 手機用戶「原圖」畫質照片無限儲存空間，並不像其他裝置般，需要壓縮至「高畫質」才有無限儲存空間，但是，這個安排在 Pixel 4 手機被取消。

相反，有網民 stephenvsawyer 卻在 iPhone 發現一個與 Google Photos 有關的漏洞，這個漏洞能夠令 iPhone 用戶以「原圖」畫質無限儲存照片。網民以 HEIC/HEIF 格式拍攝照片，發現這些照片的「原圖」大小比 Google 壓縮至「高畫質」的 JPG 檔更小，令 iPhone 拍攝的 HEIC 格式照片可以變相以「原圖」畫質無限上載到 Google Photos。[the_ad_placement id=”ad2″]

網民認為蘋果公司透過 HEIC 照片為 Google 節省了數以百萬美元，他解釋指由 Google 直接壓縮的 JPG 圖片檔容量會比 iPhone 的 HEIF 檔更大，不利儲存，今次的漏洞令 Google 無需壓縮照片，使 iPhone 用戶受益於 Google Photos 的免費無限量「原圖」備份。[the_ad_placement id=”ad2″]

目前 Google 未有回應事件，未知幾時會堵塞漏洞。而 Pixel 4 本身並不支援拍攝 HEIC/HEIF 圖檔，但技術上 Android 10 支援這個功能，Google 和第三方開發者理論上可以開發支援拍攝 HEIC/HEIF 的應用程式，令 Pixel 4 手機與 iPhone 一樣以上述漏洞獲得「原圖」畫質照片的無限儲存空間。
