蘋果今晨推出 iCloud for Windows 的 7.8.1 更新，主要針對早前 Windows 10 的 2018 年 10 月更新引發的兼容問題。

早前微軟推出的 Windows 10 2018 年 10 月更新問題多多，網民投訴 iCloud for Windows 7.7.0.27 未能兼容，就算能安裝也出現照片同步問題。當時微軟暫時安裝了 iCloud 的 Windows 10 系統更新，並聲言與蘋果尋找解決方法。

蘋果在 iCloud for Windows 7.8.1 的支援網頁更新了有關軟件的系統要求，將「through Windows 10 April 2018 Update」置換成「or later」，以免誤會這軟件不支援最新的 Windows 10 2018 年 10 月更新。
