有預算 Google 公布各款親生仔支援限期

與蘋果不同的是，各品牌的 Android 手機的更新時間並不一致，支援期限亦各有不同，要視乎品牌的取態。一般而言，十八個月已是很好。至於 Google 自身，亦已公布支援的時間表，涉及 Nexus 及 Pixel 手機。

按照 Google 的原有計劃，Nexus 5X 及 6P 最少可接收 Android 系統更新至今年九月，並能收到 Google 不時推出的安全性更新至明年九月。換言之，尚有一年半的支援期。至於最新的 Pixel 及 Pixel XL，則能接收 Android 系統更新至明年十月，至於安全性更新則支援至後年十月，即仍有兩年多的支援期。這四款手機的官方支援限期過後，Google 就不會保證一定會為它們提供更新支援。

有了明確的時間表，用家就更有預算，考慮何時才更換新手機。
