【應用】Google 推出 Live Transcribe，幫助聽力受損的人交流！

 

全球約有 4.66 億人存在聽力障礙，當中也僅有少數人支付得起手動轉錄服務。而為改變這一情形，在2019年2月4日，Google就推出一款全新的手機應用 Live Transcribe，是款即時轉錄語音至文字的應用，「即時轉錄」功能由 Google 與高立德大學 (美國首屈一指的失聰及聽障大學) 聯合開發，並於3月上架至 Google Play。目前應用仍然處於開發測試階段，但已支援各種香港包括廣東話及其週邊地區的語言，用戶利用手機麥克風就可轉為實時字幕，幫助聽障人士在日常生活的自由交流。

 

至於即時轉錄的速度，Live Transcribe 延遲低於200 毫秒，右上角的小圓圈透過變換大小來提示，用以自動分辨周圍噪音的情況。另外由於是Android「輔助工具」，故又可直接在底部三按鍵右邊的「人形公仔」直接開啟 Live Transcribe 。目前應用已經支援 70 多種語言和方言，覆蓋世界上 80% 的人群，當中更針對雙語用戶，設有主要語言及次語言的快速切換兩種語言的按鍵。有興趣的讀者，可從以下連結下載及安裝至 Android 手機，以幫助 Google 更完善推出造福社群的免費語音服務！
