Google 研究神祕新功能　Google Chrome 從此不再吃電

Google Chrome 被指過度耗用筆電電池的問題，在未來可能會有所改善。

消息指，Google 正尋求限制 JavaScript 背景喚醒的次數，令 Chrome 不再吃電。從 the Windows Club 的消息指 Google 會在 Chrome 86 的「chrome://flags」之中新增一個試驗功能，限制 Javascript 在背景網頁每 1 分鐘才喚醒 1 次，像 Safari 一樣。

利用上述的試驗功能，Google 測試在只開啟 about:black 分頁的情況下，在背景打開 36 個隨機網頁，Google 發現電池續航力增加 2 小時（或 28%）。[the_ad_placement id=”ad2″][the_ad_placement id=”ad2″]

Google 後來在華爾街日報證實有關傳聞，他們正努力令瀏覽器不吃資源。Chrome 瀏覽器工程總監 Max Christoff 指 Chrome 效能不是旅程，而是目標，這是對改善速度、效能和電池的一項持續投資。
