事緣美國總統 Donald Trump 在美國商務部人力政策諮詢委員會的一場會議中，向與會的 Tim Cook 讚揚蘋果在美國投資巨大，並藉此宣傳他的移民政策，希望阻擋非法移民以及由其衍生的相關罪行以及讓更多優秀的移民合法地進入美國，而 Tim Cook 亦藉此宣傳蘋果的「Everyone Can Code」平台令所有人都可以進行編程，不論你有沒有學位也好。
但是外界卻集中在 Donald Trump 如何稱呼 Tim Cook。

後來外媒察覺這次口誤，在大肆宣揚之下，Tim Cook 有一個新花名「Tim Apple」。Donald Trump 不止第一次口快讀錯名字，2018 年，他曾誤將洛克馬丁 CEO Marillyn Hewson 稱呼為「Marillyn Lockheed」。幸好今次與會者沒有察覺到「Tim Apple」之口誤，但已足夠成為茶餘飯後的笑料。
