為了改進蘋果地圖　蘋果終於派出「步兵」了

近年蘋果開始著力改善蘋果地圖的準繩度和細節度，企圖與 Google 地圖競爭，為了提升，蘋果決定出動「步兵」。

近日有蘋果地圖的工作人員走到搜集街景資訊，他們揹起巨大背囊，背囊具備 LIDAR 街景拍攝器材、GPS 和全方位鏡頭，背後寫上「Apple Maps maps.apple.com」，活像步兵般在街上搜集街景，有美國人遇到他們，拍攝照片並在 Twitter 分享。

Google 地圖除了街景車之外，也會派出「步兵」背著街景背囊到車輛不能進入的行山徑、小路搜集街景圖片，相反，蘋果地圖派出「步兵」的目的，是改善主要城市例如三藩市的行人導航功能。

蘋果在 iOS 12 推出更新版的蘋果地圖，作出多種更新，包括更詳細的三藩市地圖（未來將覆蓋美國和全球）、改善交通、實時路面、路況、因維修或車禍封路等等地圖資訊。
