正式走數！蘋果宣佈取消開售 AirPower！

發佈了 1 年多，AirPower 項目正式胎死腹中。蘋果宣佈原定在 2018 年開售的 AirPower 無線充電板取消推出。

蘋果硬件工程高級副總裁 Dan Riccio 透過 Techcrunch 網站發表悲傷的聲明，指經過各方面努力，AirPower 仍未能達到蘋果的最質素要求，因此蘋果決定取消 AirPower 項目，蘋果對期待 AirPower 的顧客感到抱歉。蘋果繼續相信未來屬無線的，並致力推廣無線體驗邁步向前。

AirPower 無線充電板在 2017 年 9 月 iPhone X 發佈會亮相，聲稱同時支援 iPhone、Apple Watch 和 AirPods（無線充電盒）充電。AirPower 原定在 2018 年與第 2 代 AirPods 推出，但因為解決不到過熱問題而拖延至今，最終還是胎死腹中。

今次蘋果的聲明，令未推出的 AirPower 淪為蘋果最失敗的產品之一，但聲明中也暗示蘋果對產品的質素要求極高，務求以優秀產品和體驗爭取用戶信賴。
