【武漢肺炎】IOC 資深委員： 2020 東京奧運延期「已成定局」

全球期待多年的 2020 東京奧運，卻因為一場武漢肺炎（COVID-19）疫情可能要延期 1 年或更長時間了。

國際奧委會（IOC）委員 Dick Pound 告訴美媒 USA Today 指，東京奧運延期「已成定局」，雖然細節仍未確定，但以他知道的一切資訊可以確認，奧運不會如期在 7 月 24 日舉行。

多家美媒曾經就此事詢問國際奧委會，國際奧委會回應指每個委員都有權利解釋早前宣布的國際奧委會執行局的決定，但沒有提到是否真的要延期。國際奧委會早前發表聲明指需要 4 個星期時間去研究和決定 2020 年東京奧運的未來方向，但東京奧運絕不會取消。[the_ad_placement id=”ad2″]

雖然官方沒有正式確認是否延期舉辦東京奧運，但是國際奧委會和主辦國日本深受壓力，加拿大奧委會聲稱如果東京奧運如期舉行的話代表隊不會參賽，澳洲奧委會呼籲運動員準備 2021 年奧運會，英國後來亦聲稱會跟隨加拿大和澳洲的做法，不會在夏天派代表隊參賽，暗示東京奧運不延期就不派代表隊參賽。
