三星本來向不同媒體發放 Galaxy Fold 的測試用機，可是他們不約而同發現使用一至兩日後，就已出現嚴重的顯示問題，而三星亦已決定押後發布會的日期。為了詳細檢查手機，三星亦決定回收所有 Galaxy Fold 的測試用機。

路透社的消息報道，三星正回收已發送予不同媒體的 Galaxy Fold 測試用機。三星指出，由於他們發現少量樣板機出問題，為了檢查同一批機，所以他們決定回收所有 Galaxy Fold 樣板機。而曾獲三星提供測試用機的 GSMArena ，由於他們亦被通知要交回手機，變相確認了消息。

與當年大規模回收 Galaxy Note 7 不同，由於 Galaxy Fold 尚未正式推出，相信三星於檢查及調整手機設定後，便會再次向不同媒體發放手機作測試之用，並準備正式推出新機。

三星 Galaxy Fold 明日本於香港的發佈會改期，直至官方另行通知，至於原因官方透過公關表示：「想確保媒體試嘅機係出街嘅版本」。 23日更新：暫緩美國26號發售計劃。以下是三星聲明：“We recently unveiled a completely new mobile category: a smartphone using multiple new technologies and materials to create a display that is flexible enough to fold. To fully evaluate this feedback and run further internal tests, we have decided to delay the release of the Galaxy Fold. We plan to announce the release date in the coming weeks. Initial findings from the inspection of reported issues on the display showed that they could be associated with impact on the top and bottom exposed areas of the hinge. There was also an instance where substances found inside the device affected the display performance. We will take measures to strengthen the display protection. We will also enhance the guidance on care and use of the display including the protective layer so that our customers get the most out of their Galaxy Fold. We value the trust our customers place in us and they are always our top priority. Samsung is committed to working closely with customers and partners to move the industry forward. We want to thank them for their patience and understanding.”
